This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in “Steelmate” branded physical products contained in its original packaging that are sold by Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd. The product is guaranteed against defects for a period of 12 months from date of purchase.
This warranty is provided by Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd ABN 68 149 201 623 of 407/480 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards, NSW 2065 Ph: 0299299048. In the event that you purchased a “Steelmate” product from another reseller, you must consult your reseller for their warranty terms and policies.
To claim under this warranty, return the full product in original packaging to 407/480 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards, NSW 2065. You will also need to provide your receipt or proof of purchase. Additional information may be requested of you to process your claim. If genuine fault due to material and workmanship is found, Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd will accept the warranty claim and repair or replace the item at its own expense.
IMPORTANT: Please note we are unable to provide services for products that are not checked by and sold through us.
For purchasing replacement parts, you can inquire your reseller or us directly to check if we have the parts availble – and yes, we do have spare TPMS sensors available. We may not stock parts for products that are obsolete and products we did not sell. Unless the parts are truly obsolete, we can order parts for you from the main factory.
For product repairs and warranty, please provide proof of purchase from Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd. If you purchased from another reseller, please contact them for their warranty terms and customer service (including eBay purchases).
IMPORTANT: CHANGE OF MIND is not covered. Please note we are unable to provide services for products that are not checked by and sold through us.
Important: This product may need to be sent to the manufacturer to assess the defect before determining any claim. For your records, please record or retain any photos of what you believe to be genuine faults. Faults or defects caused by product modification, misuse and abuse, normal wear and tear or failure to follow user instructions are not covered under this warranty. Please note that batteries and harnesses are not covered under the warranty.
Expenses incurred by the customer claiming the warranty and getting the product to us will be borne by the consumer. Products that are returned that are not faulty will incur a return shipping fee of $9.9. If the shipping fee is not paid, we will hold the product for a maximum of 14 days before disposal.
Out of warranty repairs: Return costs are borne by customers for Steelmate products. Repairs will incur a $25 examination fee, which must be paid before examination. Cost of repair and replacement will be advised to customers.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The benefits to the consumer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the Australian Consumer Law in relation to the goods and services to which this warranty relates.
