Description
The award winning Steelmate TP-90 DIY motorcycle tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) can be easily installed within 30 minutes.
The system comes with 2 screw on sensors and a visual display that must be powered from a 12v ignition fed supply on the bike. The visual display shows in real time the current tyre pressures of both tyres in PSI/Bar format in a front and rear scrolling motion.
The visual display provides audible and visual warnings when a tyre pressure drops below or raises above the (pre-set) recommended level. Both sensors come pre paired to the correct wheel position and are labelled for easy installation, simply screw the sensors onto the motorcycle valve stem then lock in place with the provided locknut and tool.

Ask Question
Hi, I am considering purchasing the TP – 90 Pro motorcycle TPMS, and I have a few questions. 1.Does the main unit have a USB charge outlet or is it powered only by batteries? 2. Ad states to be used for 100klm/hr or less – seems strange as most motorbikes travel in excess of this speed. 3. Can the product be purchased at a local outlet or only online? 4. Are both front and rear tyre pressures displayed together or one at a time and is this automatic or switchable via set buttons? Thanks, Peter Baklas.
1. The display is wired. 2. For safety reasons, 100km/h is our recommended speed for daily use. If the bike travels at a much higher speed, we would recommend getting an internal system. 3. Currently only online, we ship from warehouse in North Sydney, NSW. 4. One at a time and it automatically scrolls between the two. Best, Steelmate Team
Hi, I’ve swapped my TP-90 From one bike to another but I can’t get the Monitors to check the new pressure on the tyres, how do I reset the unit so I can start again with the new bike?
Hi, In this case, please do not reset/program/do anything to the unit. Just go for a short drive (speed over 20km/h) for a few minutes or so for the unit to register the new tyres. Best regards, Team Steelmate
Hi, I’m running the TP-90 on my dual sport bike and routinely have my pressures at 18-21 PSI. This means it is always in alarm but I can monitor the tyre pressures for a flat. Is there any way I can stop it beeping as it is continuous since it is below the normal range? Or can I get a lower range model? Cheers, Steve
Hi Steve, Unfortunately the product is designed for a road bike, and we do not have any product has a lower range than this one. The lowest monitoring range it can monitor is 21-38psi. It can read the lower pressure you set, but will alarm as it is out of the range. You can press any button to mute the alarm temporarily, it will beep 5 seconds for every minute. Once on your ride, your pressure will rise and it may cease beeping. Hope this helps! Carmate Electronics Team
Hi, Do the valve monitors have any anti-theft locks or the like? Also, will they work with 90deg stems? Thanks TD
Hi, thank you for your question. Yes, the valve monitors have antitheft locking nuts and a special spanner. TP-90 will work with 90 degree stems if there’s enough space for the sensor. If you have further questions, please feel free to email sales@steelmate.com.au.
Hi, Can the TP-90 thresholds be set independently for front and rear tires? AK
Hi AK, TP-90 will detect and show each wheel info in real time ( ie, front 28 psi, rear 35 psi). and alert you once a puncture is detected or air leaking is detected regardless of the threshold. The threshold is a mid -range, once a threshold is set ( ie 30 psi), the system will alert you once a high pressure ( above 39psi or low pressure 24 psi) is detected . Pls feel free to contact Steelmate.au@bigpond.com for where to purchase or other info. Thanks! Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd Steelmate.au@bigpond.com www.steelmate.com.au
I just installed this unit. It shows pressure in bar. How do I change it to show psi?
Hi Kovi, Pls check the “SETTING” section in your manual to switch between BAR and PSI. Thanks! From your Steelmate Au & NZ team
